The Randolph County Historical Center at 223 N. Clark Street holds the county’s archives, its genealogical library and a permanent Omar Bradley exhibit — but it is open four hours a week, April through October, so check before you go. The Society also runs the Railroad Museum in Depot Park, focused on the Wabash. Its website carries a free library of researched local history — the Brown Shoe Factory, the 1861 train robbery at Allen, KWIX, and Melvin B. Tolson, the Moberly-born poet played by Denzel Washington in The Great Debaters. What is where, and what is in it.
