For any emergency, call 911.
Moberly Police Department
A division of city government rather than a separate agency, so it works out of the city’s structure at 101 West Reed Street. Non-emergency and after-hours: 660-263-0346.
Department page
Animal Control operates under the Police Department, from the Moberly Animal Shelter at 153 W. Outer Road, 660-833-7330, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For a severely injured or aggressive animal outside those hours, call the police number above.
Moberly Fire Department
Chief: Don Ryan. Also a city department. For emergencies, 911.
Randolph County Sheriff
Sheriff Andy Boggs. The Sheriff’s Office covers the county outside Moberly city limits and operates from the courthouse area in Huntsville, the county seat. Reach the office through the county’s main line, 844-277-6555.
Getting emergency notifications
Two systems run here and they are not the same thing.
The City of Moberly Alert Center posts time-sensitive city notices — water main breaks, street closures, boil advisories. Those feed straight into the Alerts box on our front page.
Randolph County Civic Ready sends emergency notifications by text, phone call or email, county-wide, including the areas outside city limits. It is free and it reaches you without you having to check anything: randolph-county-mo.myfreealerts.com. Randolph County Emergency Management Director: David G. Gaines.
Compiled from the City of Moberly and Randolph County, September 2026. We are still working on a direct feed of police and fire incident reports; if your agency publishes one, we would like to carry it: news@moberlymainline.com.
