Randolph County is split between two Missouri House districts, sits in one state Senate district, and its congressional district is currently in dispute. Here is who represents you and how to reach them.
Missouri House
District 6 — Rep. Ed Lewis (R-Moberly)
Covers Macon and Randolph counties.
201 West Capitol Avenue, Room 312, Jefferson City, MO 65101
573-751-6566 · Ed.Lewis@house.mo.gov
First elected in 2020. Chairs the Elementary and Secondary Education committee and vice-chairs the education appropriations subcommittee; also sits on Budget, Utilities and the Joint Committee on Education. Taught high school chemistry and physics for 32 years, including in Moberly, and spent 30 years at Central Christian College of the Bible.
District 48 — Rep. Tim Taylor (R-Bunceton)
Covers parts of Randolph, plus Howard, Cooper and Chariton counties.
201 West Capitol Avenue, Room 304-A, Jefferson City, MO 65101
573-751-0169 · Tim.Taylor@house.mo.gov
First elected in 2020. Chairs the Special Committee on Property Tax Reform; also on Budget, Conservation and Natural Resources, and Crime and Public Safety.
Which one is yours depends on your address. If you are unsure, the county clerk can tell you.
Missouri Senate
District 18 — Sen. Cindy O’Laughlin (R), President Pro Tem
Room 326, Missouri Capitol · 573-751-7985
In office since 2019, and President Pro Tem since 2025 — the first woman to lead the Missouri Senate. District 18 covers fourteen counties across northeast Missouri, Randolph among them.
She is term-limited, so this seat is open in 2026. Ed Lewis, currently the District 6 representative, is among the candidates running for it.
U.S. House — unsettled
Randolph County is currently in Missouri’s 6th Congressional District, represented by Rep. Sam Graves (R). He announced in March 2026 that he will not seek re-election.
Washington office: 1135 Longworth House Office Building, Washington, DC 20515 · 202-225-7041
Nearest district office: 6079 County Road 425, Hannibal, MO 63401 · 573-221-3400
But the map is in dispute. Missouri enacted a new congressional map in September 2025 that would move Randolph County into the 5th District. As of late September 2026 the courts have not settled which map governs the November 3 election — an appeals court ruling was stayed, absentee and military ballots have already gone out under the older map, and an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court is pending. Proposition A on the November ballot is a referendum on the new map.
Practical advice until this resolves: check your ballot, not a website, for which congressional district you are voting in.
Verified September 2026 against house.mo.gov, senate.mo.gov and graves.house.gov. Note that Wikipedia’s Randolph County article lists the wrong state House districts and the wrong congressional district; we checked each member’s official page instead. Corrections: news@moberlymainline.com.
