If you need food, rent, a utility bill paid or a bed on a freezing night, the help exists and it is scattered across a dozen organisations. The FLF Dream Center at 1614 US 24 opens Wednesdays only but three times that day, including 5 to 7 p.m., and gives out clothing weekly with no ID needed. Community Kitchen serves free meals Wednesdays and Saturdays at 411 W. Reed. The Ministerial Alliance pays rent, utilities and prescriptions direct to the vendor. United Way funds twelve local agencies. Every service, with the crisis numbers.
