Moberly City Council meetings: who is on it, and how to watch

Moberly City Council meets at City Hall, 101 West Reed Street, and records its meetings. This folder collects the video of each one as the city publishes it, so you can watch a meeting you missed without hunting for it.

Who is on the council

Five members, all elected at-large to three-year terms — no wards. Mayor Brandon L. Lucas, Mayor Pro Tem Chuck McKeown, and council members Sarah Barfield Graff, Mike Skubic and Brian Katcher. The council picks the mayor and mayor pro tem from among itself each April.

Full contacts and the rest of city government are in our City Hall directory.

Agendas and minutes

Both go to the city’s Agenda Center, which also carries special meetings and council retreats. Twelve other city boards file in the same place — Planning and Zoning, the Park Board, Historic Preservation, Tourism, the Airport Advisory Board, the Downtown CID and the rest.

If you want to know what the council will take up before it happens, the agenda is the document to read, not the video.

Speaking to the council

Meetings are open to the public. To get an item on an agenda, or to ask how public comment works at a particular meeting, contact the City Clerk’s office — 660-269-8705 ext. 2052, or direct at 660-269-7652.

Study sessions are a separate, less formal working meeting; those are in the Council Study Sessions folder.

Videos are posted by the City of Moberly and appear here automatically. Corrections: news@moberlymainline.com.
